Mr. Abelman is a Shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office and a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group. He represents banks and creditors in bankruptcy cases and has also represented principals of debtors and creditors' committees. Mr. Abelman has extensive experience representing businesses and banks in workouts, litigation, replevin and foreclosures, as well as representing equipment lessors. His litigation practice focuses on commercial collections, Article 9 litigation and adversary proceedings. Mr. Abelman is a frequent author and lecturer on bankruptcy and creditors' rights topics. Prior to joining the firm, he was a founding member at Cage, Williams, Abelman in Denver. Mr. Abelman holds a J.D. from Whittier College School of Law in 1984 and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Chicago.
Mr. Boade has spent his career working with companies in complex crisis situations. As a consultant with McKinsey & Company, he worked with the top management of several troubled businesses in restructurings, cost reduction program implementations and other strategic advisory services. Mr. Boade led a group of investors in a highly-leveraged acquisition of two troubled distributors, and in the latter stage of the turnaround of these distributors, Mr. Boade founded a technology venture and led it through several rounds of venture capital financing. Most recently, Mr. Boade completed an assignment with Neoplan USA Corporation, a Colorado-based manufacturer of transit buses. Mr. Boade initially joined the company as CFO and completed an out-of-bankruptcy restructuring of the company’s debt ($52 million secured and $20 million unsecured) during his first year, and later became the president and chief restructuring officer, overseeing the wind-down and eventual sale of the manufacturing operation and other assets. Mr. Boade currently is co-chairman of Neopart, LLC, a supplier of parts to the transit industry. In the 1980s, Mr. Boade worked in Arthur Andersen’s Denver office. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Siegler is senior vice president of corporate development for Market Force Information, Inc. There, he is responsible for all domestic and international strategic alliances, mergers and partnerships as well as the legal and administration functions. Prior to joining Market Force Information, Mr. Siegler was senior vice president of corporate development for Verio, Inc., a tier-1 internet service provider and web hosting company wholly-owned by NTT Communications. He led strategic development, mergers, acquisitions, asset dispositions and strategic partnerships. Prior to Verio, Mr. Siegler served as vice president of international operations and legal for Excel Communications, Inc. (formerly a subsidiary of Teleglobe, Inc.), where he led the successful launch of the business into Canada and managed the proposed launch of the business into the United Kingdom, France and Germany. At Excel, Mr. Siegler also served as assistant general counsel and led the negotiation of strategic transactions, mergers, acquisitions and strategic partnerships, including the billion dollar acquisition of Telco Communications Group and the multi-billion dollar merger of Excel with Teleglobe. He began his career as a corporate attorney with the Dallas law firm, Gardere & Wynne, LLP, representing public and private companies in negotiating mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, strategic agreements and corporate governance. Mr. Siegler holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Princeton University and a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law.
