Crisis and Interim Management for Turnarounds and Workouts
r2 advisors’ professionals have CEO, COO and CFO experience at businesses experiencing difficulty. We understand that middle market companies can operate quite differently than smaller or larger enterprises, and have successfully operated businesses that were at or near complete shutdown, working to restart these businesses and guide them back to profitability. For a company facing serious operational trouble (and experiencing turnover of senior management and officers), the professionals at r2 advisors can assume such interim roles in order to help the company implement a successful turnaround or workout—despite a lean executive team. Typically, these assignments involve three distinct functions:
- Serving as an interim manager, which includes reporting to the board of directors and outside constituents such as lenders, creditors and shareholders.
- Providing analytical support to facilitate important decisions that are made during a turnaround or workout.
- Working with the management team to establish a permanent organization chart and define the roles necessary to maintain a profitable and efficient company.
